Kulhoja 3 / Bowls 3

Pyöreät orgamit ovat harvinaisia, mutta tässä on yksi sellainen. Kulho on taiteltu yhdestä ainoasta neliönmuotoisesta origamipaperista, ja taivuteltu sormin lopulliseen pyöreään muotoonsa.

Circular-shaped origami models are rare, but here is one. The bowl is folded of a single sheet of standard origami paper, and shaped with fingers to its final form.

Kulhoja 2 / Bowls 2

Joskus väärin tehty on kauniimpi.

Tämä vati esiintyy Woodin kirjassa nimellä "kierretty vati". Siinä on kierteinen rakenne joka ei kuvassa kovin hyvin erotu. Etualalla olevat kaksi kulhoa ovat muuten samanlaiset, mutta  toisessa paperin kuvioitu puoli on ulkopuolella, toisessa sisäpuolella. 

En ollut millään saada kulhosta samannäköistä kuin kirjan kuvassa. Viimein tajusin tehneeni yhden taitoksista väärin. Vihreä kulho kuvassa on se väärin taiteltu. Loppujen lopuksi pidän siitä näistä kolmesta eniten.

Sometimes a mistake leads to a more beautiful result.

This bowl has a spiral-like structure that is not well visible in the photo. The two bowls at the front are similar, except that one has the patterned side of the paper on the outside, the other on the inside.

I had trouble producing a bowl that would look like the one in the book, until I realized I had made a mistake in one of the folds. The green bowl in the photo is the wrongly made one. In fact I like it the best.
